§ 6-249. Creation.

  • (a)

    The city commission may create from time to time an Historic District Study Committee, which shall consist of not less than five or more than nine members, as established by resolution of the city commission. Each member shall be a resident of the city or a representative of a duly organized local historic preservation organization. Members shall be appointed by the city commission and serve without compensation.

    (b)

    The committee shall be established pursuant to the local historic districts act, Public Act No. 169 1970 (MCL 399.201 et seq.).
