§ 2-474. Board organization and meetings.

  • (a)

    The advisory board shall organize by electing annually at its first regular meeting a chair, vice-chair, secretary, and such other officers as may be necessary for the proper conduct of the duties of the board. In addition, the board shall approve a schedule of regular meetings for the next year.

    (b)

    The advisory board shall adopt rules for transaction of business and keep records of its resolutions and recommendations, which records shall be a public record.

    (c)

    Six members of the board shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. Six votes shall be necessary for the board to pass a resolution.

    (d)

    The advisory board shall conduct its business at a public meeting held in compliance with the Open Meetings Act, Public Act No. 267 of 1976 (MCL 15.261 et seq.). Public notice of the time, date and place of each meeting shall be given in a manner as required by the Open Meetings Act.
